FAQS
WHERE DO YOU WORK?
My inviting, child cantered therapy room is based in central Canterbury. Directions provided on request
HOW WILL I KNOW IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR MY CHILD?
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss the issues and discuss whether it would be worthwhile meeting for an initial consultation. Following this I offer 3 further assessment sessions and a review to think together whether it would be helpful to continue.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Fees can vary depending on individual needs. Please feel free to contact me to enquire further.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Initial consultations with parents or caters are one hour. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes.
DO YOU OFFER AFTER SCHOOL AND EVENING APPOINTMENTS?
Yes
WHAT SORT OF THERAPY DO YOU OFFER?
I specialise in working with children and adolescents to help them understand the underlying difficulties causing symptoms. In my experience this provides more long lasting relief from difficulties.
DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH SEVERE DIFFICULTIES?
Although my training and NHS experience has equipped me to work with serious mental health difficulties, I also work with mild and moderate emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy helps one understand our underlying feeling and beliefs that may be impeding a young persons emotional development, potential or causing distress.
